Wills & Advance Directives Project

Monaday, July 8th, Legal Aid NC will be at the Senior Center to provide free legal support to those who need a will or advance directive. Space is limited, and you must pre-register at the Senior Center by June 21st. See the event flyer for full details.

14th Annual Ashe County School Supply Drive

From June 17th - August 2nd, you can drop off school supplies for Ashe County students in need. Donated supplies will be donated amon all Ashe County public schools. For more information call Terri Hopkins at 336-246-4347.

A Matter of Balance

Many older adults experience concerns about falling and restrict their activities. A MATTER OF BALANCE is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. This program emphasizes practical strategies to manage falls. KICKS OFF July 9 through August 1st, 2019, Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00 pm TILL 3:00 pm. See flyer for full details.

Chaplain Greg Topczewski

Every 1st & 3rd Tuesday, Chaplain Greg Topczewski will visit the Ashe Senior Center from 11am to 2pm. He offers a variety of services including private counseling, spiritual guidance, and more.

Caregiver Support Group

The Ashe Senior Center hosts caregiver support group meetings on the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of each month at 4pm. Participants can exchange information, talk through issues, learn about community resources, and more. See flyer for full details.

Supportive Journaling Community

Safe and Confidential Community Approach for Survivors of Sexual Violence, their family and caregivers to find healing and connect. Meeting in Classroom 2 on the 2nd Friday of Every Month from 10:00a.m.-11:30am.
