Attention all War Veterans in Ashe, Alleghany, Avery, Watauga and Wilkes counties:
Blue Ridge Honor Flight representatives are coming to Ashe County to talk about their next Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., scheduled for Saturday, April 29th, 2023.
Eligible Veterans: WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Grenada, Panama, Iraq, Afghanistan, veterans of Any Conflict and Gold Star families
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023 from 1pm – 3pm at the Ashe County Sheriff’s Office training room. 140 Law Enforcement Drive, Jefferson, NC 28640. You don’t want to miss this meeting! The BRHF will discuss the application and trip details. You can fill out, update and submit applications at this time. Medical information is required. Please bring a list of your current medications.
This day trip to Washington, D.C. to see the key War Memorials, receive greetings, honors and meals is one way for our community to acknowledge and thank you for your service and sacrifices to our great nation. Please note that all transportation is arranged and all expenses are paid for your “Special Day of Honor”.
