Helen Savage, FraudWatch Victim Support Volunteer, will tell us about AARP’s special effort to help recent victims of fraud. She will provide actual examples of consumer responses to scam pitches that led to loss of money and identity theft. She’ll discuss insecure settings where scammers have intervened and intercepted transactions. One is as simple as a call to a car rental agency! She’ll also describe AARP’s service in collaboration with Volunteers of America to provide support group sessions for victims of fraud.
