According to a recent AARP survey, three in four older Americans want to stay in their homes and age in place. Animals can help build the perceived social support and social networks needed to age in the community.
This virtual series focuses on the animal-human bond, and how our relationships with animals can reinforce good health while strengthening and expanding the social networks of older adults. This 4-part virtual series will reflect different facets of the animal-human relationship. This series is for both people who currently own a pet and those who do not. We believe that everyone can experience and appreciate connections with domesticated and wild animals.
