The senior center will once again offer the VITA Tax Aide Program this year.  The program will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Tuesday, January 25th.  Due to the ongoing public health concerns, the VITA program will be holding drop off/pick up and face-to-face appointments.  Please call to schedule an appointment, at which time you can let us know which appointment type you prefer.  You will still be required to have an appointment to drop off all needed documents and fill out an intake form.  Remember to bring proof of all income, your social security card and date of birth for everyone on the return.  Bring your Medicare and Medicaid cards if applicable.  If you do not have Medicare or Medicaid, please bring the letter you received from you Insurance Company and bring last year’s tax return.  Once your taxes are prepared, you will receive a phone call to return to the senior center to sign and pick up your tax return copies.  The senior center will adhere to all public health safety guidelines and will require each person to wear a mask and social distance at all times.  To make an appointment or if you have questions, please call the senior center at 336-246-4347.
