There is an answer to this question, and you should know what it is. Holly Jones, Community Partnerships and Outreach Coordinator with the NC Department of Justice, will highlight how these hooks are used to reel in victims and steal their hard earned savings. Information from both the Attorney General’s fraud line and AARP’s Fraud Watch Network HelpLine will be referenced to illustrate the scams. More importantly, Holly will tell us how to protect ourselves from fraud. As the saying goes, “If you can spot a fraud, you can stop a fraud.”
