We want to encourage all of our participants, clients, families, volunteers, residents, staff and all of our Facebook friends and followers to vote in this year’s election. We realize that due to COVID-19, voting may look different for some, therefore we want to provide our Ashe Services for Aging community with the information you need in order to vote in the manner that you feel the most comfortable…in person or by absentee ballot.
Here is a breakdown of the voting calendar for 2020:
Now - Absentee Ballots may be requested
Voter Registration may be completed any time before October 9th
October 15 - One Stop Early Voting Begins
October 31 - One Stop Early Voting Ends
November 3 - Election Day - Precinct Polls Open 6:30am - 7:30pm
If you aren’t able or don’t feel comfortable voting in person, REQUEST AN APPLICATION FOR AN ABSENTEE BALLOT TODAY!! A request form may be submitted in person, by mail, fax or email. Absentee Ballots will be mailed starting September 4th.
A completed Absentee Ballot must be delivered in person to the elections board or received and post dated by November 3, 2020. The receipt of the Absentee Application and the formal Ballot can be verified online through the Secretary of State Website.
