Meet Wanda, a recipient of In-Home Aide services at Generations Ashe. Loretta, her aide, has worked with Wanda for 7 years, and they have a very special bond.
She visits her 6 days a week to provide light housekeeping, laundry service, dish washing, assistance with personal hygiene and cooking. As a special treat, Loretta fixes biscuits, gravy, sausage and eggs once a week, and that is Loretta’s favorite meal!
Being hard of hearing, Wanda doesn’t enjoy watching TV or listening to music, so her and Loretta talk while she works, which has only strengthened their relationship.
Wanda would tell anyone who may benefit from having an In-Home Aide, “they really help”. “[Loretta] means a lot to me; she means everything to me”.
