Spark the Arts – Barn Quilt Workshop

Florence Thomas Art School and Generations Ashe Senior Center are partnering together to hold a series of 5 workshop opportunities that will offer older adults of Ashe County a hands on learning experience in making art and sharing art.
Our next workshop is Monday, April 17th, 2023 from 10:00am – 12:00pm at Generations Ashe. Students will join Mark Perzel in creating a miniature Sunflower Barn Quilt on signboard using exterior latex paint. Please wear an apron or appropriate clothing as this paint will not wash out of clothing. The 1’x1′ Barn Quilt can be used indoors or out. There can never be too many sunflowers.
There is no cost/fee to attend. Please contact the Senior Center front desk to sign up for this workshop. Space is limited to 12 participants. Call 336-246-4347 for more information and to sign up.
